Marquez set for battle with Mayweather

Mexico's "Numero Uno" Juan Manuel Marquez is under no illusions about the task ahead as he takes on Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on 18th July but he believes he has a chance. Lee Beard - "It is a risk but Matthew can win"

Trainer Lee Beard was fully in support of Matthew Hatton's decision to take the fight against Zab Judah on 18th July. Matthew and Lee had already discussed the possibility of fighting Judah and when the chance came knew he had to take it. Lee told Hatton TV that the fight was a risk but that he was confident that Matthew can win.

Matthew's World Title bid will still go ahead

The announcement that Matthew Hatton is to fight Zab Judah in Las Vegas on 18th July made many observers think that his proposed IBO world title shot against either Lovemore Ndou or Phillip Ndou was off, but that is not the case. Hatton CEO Gareth Williams told Hatton TV that the South African promoter has guaranteed Matthew his world title chance.

Mayweather - "The King is back"

Floyd Mayweather jnr breezed into London to promote his comeback fight against Juan Manuel Marquez  and said that one day he would love to fight in the UK. He said he has nothing to prove but Marquez will be a tough challenge. The undefeated former champion also told Hatton TV that he respects  Ricky but thinks he should retire.
