Amir Khan has been forced to leave the USA and head for Canada after problems with his visa. The WBA lightweight champion has been training at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles but has had to interupt his preparations and depart to Vancopuver where he is reapply for the correct visa for the United States. The next Hatton Promotions show on Sky Sports is on Friday 21st May at Ponds Forge in Sheffield where Ryan Rhodes will be defending his European light middleweight title against Luca Messi. The show will also feature a number of other Sheffield boxers who have recently come under the Hatton banner, including giant heavyweight Richard Towers. Amir Khan has reignited his bitter war of war of words with Carl Froch by claiming the Cobra should retire following his loss to Mikkel Kessler
Froch, 32, dropped the WBC super-middleweight title to Kessler via unanimous decision on Saturday night.

Former World champion Enzo Maccarinelli KO'd Russia's Alexander Kotlobay in the first round to win the vacant European cruiserweight title.
The Russian was the favourite but he was twice down in the first round - first from an overhand right and then from a left hook which finished the job. Referee Erkki Meronen stepped in to end the contest which should revitalise the Welshman's career.
