Dereck Chisora's antics both before and after his heavyweight
clash with Vitali Klitschko has earned him an indefinite ban from
the WBC.
The Finchley man, nicknamed Del Boy, made a right plonker of
himself by slapping Klitschko at the weigh-in, spitting water into
the face of his brother Wladimir and then brawling with David Haye
at the post fight press conference.
The WBC has called for Chisora to receive anger management
treatment and removed him for their rankings.
"The WB...

Being in training camp offers the time and space to pause and
reflect. Many fighters do not enjoy the isolation but I put it to
good use by taking the time to think things through and reflect
more whilst I am here. Mentally it strengthens me to be here.
I've never had hype attached to my name. In all my big fights I
was supposed to lose and nine times out of ten I won. The only time
I lost was to WBC world number two Danny Garcia, and that was a
split decision on his promoter's sho...

If former world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik can get his
career back on track, a shot at WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr
could be in the offing.
Pavlik has battled a number of demons outside of the ring in
recent years but intends to get back on track when he returns to
action on April 14.
The Youngstown, Ohio native faces an as yet to confirmed foe on
the undercard of Brendan Rios' clash with Yuriorkis Gamboa at the
Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.

Nathan Cleverly's next world title defence could see him
topping the bill at the first at the Royal Albert Hall in almost 13
years.
Boxing has not graced the grand old all since Danny
Williams and Julius Francis duked it out for the British and
Commonwealth heavyweights straps back in April 1999.
Promoter Frank Warren said: "There has been no
professional boxing there for many, many years, it is probably the
best venue in the country, the most prestigious venue.

David Barnes will face former WBA light-welterweight champion
Vivian Harris at the De Veres Hotel, Bolton on Sunday 11 March
2012.
After original opponent Giuseppe Lauri pulled out with the flu,
promoter David Coldwell decided to postpone the show rather than
bring in someone with little credibility or reputation at such
short notice.
And he's delivered a good match up with the former world
titlist, who was once on the radar of Ricky Hatton and fought
Junior Witter.
"This f...

Unbeaten heavyweight Richard
Towers will be targeting Britain's top heavyweights by the end of
this year.
That is the expectation of Hatton
Promotions head man Ricky Hatton, who is tipping the 6ft 9in
Sheffield man to crush his giant rivals in the heavyweight
division.
Towers, 32, bids for his
13th successive professional win at Ponds Forge Arena,
Sheffield on Saturday March 24 when he boxes an eight rounder
against a selected opponent.
Before long 'The Hitman' expects

Kieran Farrell intends to show that the boy has become a man
when he takes on Liverpool's Stephen Jennings in a Central Area
title tussle on Friday night.
The baby faced battler from Heywood has moved through the
weights in less than three years as a pro, jumping up almost 30lbs
from his start as a flyweight to title challenger at
light-welterweight.
And he's determined to prove he's got both the skill and the
brawn needed to mix it with opponents which many believe are
natural...

More than 90 boxers competed in the finals of the National
Schools ABAE Championships over the weekend and England coaches
Martin Utley and Mick Gannon believe the standard of bouts was
possibly the best ever seen.
"The level of talent at this championship impresses me more each
year," Gannon told abae.co.uk.
"It takes a lot of hard work to reach this level of competition
and I'm looking forward to seeing the winners go on to represent
England this summer."
Winners in bold.

When it comes to the 140lb division, I am at the top of the food
chain in Britain and quite rightly, so many British fighters aspire
to be where I currently am.
Over the last few weeks, Steve Williams, Adil Anwar and Curtis
Woodhouse have all spoken out of their desire to challenge me for
the British title; some slightly more respectfully than others. Be
careful what you wish for guys.
It's all part and parcel of climbing to the top. It all points
to the fact that I'm on track t...
