Tomasz Adamek will return to the ring on September 8 at the
Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey against as a yet to be
named opponent.
The Polish heavyweight contender, a former world champion at
both light-heavyweight and cruiserweight, was expected to have a
rematch with Eddie Chambers but that is off now due to an
injury.
Chambers was diagnosed with a torn tendon in his left biceps
that will keep him out of action for at least two months.

Former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman is been forced to
withdraw from his July 14 challenge to WBA 'regular' champion
Alexander Povetkin due to a wrist injury.
Promoter Greg Cohen confirmed that American boxer aggravated a
cyst on his wrist in training on Wednesday and despite surgery to
move the cyst, he is now sidelined for more than two weeks.

David Price, the British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion,
will not now make his American debut on July 27 as originally
planned.
The giant Liverpudlian has confirmed that the fight is off due
to circumstances outside of his control.
It's another setback after learning that Sky Sports will not
being renewing the contract of his promoter Frank Maloney.

The ex-husband of former boxer Christy Martin has been handed a
25 year jail term for attempting to murder her.
James Martin was convicted in April for attempted second-degree
murder with a firearm and two other counts.
