Lamont Peterson will apply for a boxing licence in the state of
Nevada despite the fact that he has admitted to taking a banned
substance.
The Washington DC native, who holds both the WBA and IBF titles

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has said that it will
speak with Lamont Peterson over his failed drugs test before
deciding if they should strip him of the title and return it to
previous holder Amir Khan.

Amir Khan has confirmed that his rematch with Lamont Peterson
has been cancelled.
The Bolton man was set to face the American for his old IBF and
WBA light-welterweight titles in Las Vegas on May 19 but the bout
has been shelved following the revelation that Peterson failed not
one but two random drug tests.
