Tony Bellew believes Adonis Stevenson's reign as WBC
light-heavyweight champion will be a short one - especially as he's
next in line for a shot.

James DeGale retained his WBC silver super-middleweight title
when his veteran opponent Stjepan Bozic was bizarrely withdrawn by
his corner after four rounds on Saturday evening.
The 2008 Olympic gold medallist was hitting the Croatian visitor
with some solid shots, but it never looked enough to the end the
contest.
That's not taking anything away from DeGale though. He set out
at a good pace and used flashy movement to make Bozic miss before

super-middleweight champion Carl Froch if they ever met.

performance he had promised, stopping Sebastien Demers inside two
rounds.

Hennessy Sports have confirmed.
The 2008 Olympic gold medallist will face an as yet to be
confirmed opponent at Casino Lac-Leamy in Gartineau on May
17.
It marks DeGale's first appearance since his victory over
Colombian veteran Fulgencio Zuniga in Hull in December.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) has said it is pleased that the
Boxing Commission of Japan has agreed to fall in line with its
weigh-in rules.
In order to prevent fighters risking their health, the WBC
imposed rules which require check weigh-ins to be held 30 and seven
days prior to a contest.
Meanwhile, the Mexico City-based sanctioning body also

James DeGale's fight with Colombian puncher Alexander Brand has
been delayed.
The 2008 Olympic gold medallist was due to defend his WBC
silver super-middleweight against the South American next Saturday
(March 23).
"Gutted! Just been told my fight on the 23 March has been
postponed! New date to be confirmed!" DeGale wrote on
Twitter.
Promoters Hennessey Sports said the delay was caused by an
"unfortunate and unavoidable situation".
