Early in his pro career Craig was known solely as the man who knocked down Amir Khan in the amateurs. But he's gone on to prove his credentials in the paid ranks with a string of stellar title successes.

In 2007 he defeated tough Namibian Ali Nuumbembe on a cut to win the Commonwealth welterweight title and defended against Matthew Hatton at the City of Manchester Stadium before a controversial loss to John O'Donnell in 2009.

Earlier this year he scored revenge over O'Donnell with a 12 round unanimous points win, which also saw him add to the vacant British belt to his collection.

However, a shock stoppage reverse to Lee Purdy in April left him title-less once more and he failed to regain the title against the same foe in July.
