Boxing isn't just a vocation to Steel City heavyweight Richard Towers, it's a salvation.

The 6ft 8ins Yorkshireman boxed as youngster before his life went off the rails and he ended up serving a lengthy prision sentence.

Now he's using the sweet science as a way of bettering himself. Likeable and down to earth, the reformed heavyweight has racked up 13 wins straight and is hot on the heels of British boxing's top big men.

He is trained by the legendary Brendan Ingle MBE at the St Thomas' Boys and Girls Club in Wincobank, Sheffield
