Sheffield southpaw Ryan Rhodes is working on getting that title has long eluded him.

In 1997, aged just 21, Ryan fell short in a world middleweight title challenge against Otis Grant.

Now, almost 14 years on, he met another top level challenge in Mexican sensation Saul Alvarez for the WBC crown at his natural weight of 154lbs but lost in the final round,

It's been a long journey for the man who won the British title outright at just 20 years of age. After his original period of success under legendary trainer Brendan Ingle, the Yorkshire man spent several years on the fringes.

But now, under the tutelage of Dave Coldwell, Ryan has bounced back and won both the British, European and WBC International light-middleweight championships and sees no reason why he cannot fight for a world title again.
