Heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek will now face Travis Walker
in September after his proposed bout with long-faded former
middleweight great James Toney was scrapped.
The Polish boxer, who now lives in New Jersey, has been a major
draw at the Prudential Centre in Newark for more than five years
and will return the venue on the 8th of the month,
although the fight will be the afternoon because it is being shown
live in his Eastern European homeland.
Adamek, 42 - 2 (28 KOs), has won two contests since losing by
stoppage to Vitali Klitschko last year, one of which was a
unanimous decision over American contender Eddie Chambers.
