The WBA has reinstated Bolton's Amir Khan as its WBA
light-welterweight champion and he will now put it on the line in a
unification clash with WBC ruler Danny Garcia on Saturday
night.
Khan lost the title to Lamont Peterson in controversial
circumstances last December, but the American has been stripped
after it emerged that he had failed not one but two drugs
tests.
"Justice has been done," said Khan."I'm glad the WBA are
reinstating me as champion, it means I walk into this fight as
world champion.
"There is a chance to win the WBC belt as well but not only
that, the Ring magazine title will be on the line as well.
"It means this fight will really show who is the best fighter in
the 140lb division."
