Timothy Bradley has said that Manny Pacquiao would be an easy
night's work for pound for pound great Floyd Mayweather Jnr if they
ever met in the ring.
Bradley scored a highly controversial points win over Pacquiao
in early June and has continued to fire barbs at him ever
since.
Talk is that Pacquiao could now be willing to face Mayweather
and a date for April 2013 is reportedly being discussed between
promoters Top Rank and TMT Promotions.
But Bradley believes that he should get the shot at Mayweather
or Pacquaio should at least give him a lucrative rematch first.
"I have options. I'm the champion," Bradley said. "I feel as if
I'm the number two fighter at 147 pounds, and that's behind Floyd
Mayweather Jr.
"Once Floyd flattens Manny Pacquiao, which is going to happen if
they ever fight, then me and Floyd can get it on. That's easy work
for Floyd."
Pacquiao will return to the ring in November and an opponent is
likely to be named within the next week. Rematches against Bradley,
Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez have all been mentioned as
possibilities.
