From seemingly out of nowhere, Anne Whitlock (UK), alongside
fellow conspirators Daxx Khan (USA) and both Stacey Nelan and
Rudiigher Lundgren (Australia), and LNW Productions, are taking the
Social Media channels by storm.
Their global aim is to, in September and October 2013; produce
Knockout Cancer Events on three continents.
"Although cancer is personal for me it is also for others," said
Ms. Whitlock, who has survived it twice now and come back stronger
than ever.
"It was an innocent conversation with one of the supporters,
Danny Jacobs, which sparked it all a few weeks ago.
"Danny has also been through the same situation and is looking
to get back into boxing at the age of 40 and so it was then a case
of, what can we do?"
It will be some going getting three separate events on three
continents off the ground but, cross globe communication has solved
that 'minor' dilemma and it seems that the first will be in the UK
in September next year, followed by going across the pond and doing
the American version later in the month, and then Down Under to doe
the Australian version sometime in October.
Not only that but as Ms. Whitlock continued the event will be
held "over two days for each."
She continued by adding "there will be sporting memorabilia
auctions and raffles, looking at it being a proper gala style event
along with a sit down dinner."
Lovemore Ndou has also said he will donate his next purse to the
cause.
Alongside Danny Jacobs and Lovemore Ndou, there are a vast
number of other supporters of the event whom look to be stepping
into the squared circle in the name of charity, and of both sexes.
Those include Ashley Sexton, Arv Mitoo, Miguel Matthews, Peter
Buckley and many, many more. Even on the female side of the sweet
science support has been afforded by that of Jane Couch MBE and
Kristine Shergold, both known names on the fight scene.
At the time of writing it had only been around three weeks since
the initial social networking interest was generated. But since
then going from strength to strength to strength is an
understatement.
"I'm finding completely unreal, it's a rollercoaster," claimed
Ms. Whitlock.
"I've never seen anything grow this fast in my twenty plus years
of promotions. But for three weeks it's going pretty well
indeed.
"All we need really is that big name sponsor to take us onto the
last level and seal the deal. Once that is achieved everything else
is ready to fall into place.
"We already have a big name backer waiting, so just the
mainstream support to make it more a reality."
