Middleweight sensation Gennady Golovkin says he wants to fight
the winner of the upcoming clash between Sergio Martinez and Julio
Cesar Chavez Jnr.
The unbeaten WBA (regular) champion made a huge impact in the
United States last Saturday night when he wiped out Redhill-based
Pole Grzegorz Proksa inside five rounds.
And now he's hoping that performance will put in him in a
position for bigger and better fights.
Golovkin is the mandatory challenger for IBF and WBA (Super)
champion Daniel Geale but says its Martinez and Charvez Jnr which
interest him.
Asked for his view on the fight, he said: "For the fight on
September 15 between Chavez Jnr and Martinez, I think it's a 50-50
fight.
"Sergio has better skills, but Chavez Jr. is younger and seems
to be getting stronger with each fight. I look forward to viewing
the Chavez Jr.-Martinez fight."
