Manny Pacquiao has confirmed that he is to meet Mexican
legend Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time on December
8.
A return with Timothy Bradley had been mooted for the
date, but the Filipino's has instead elected to face a man who has
pushed him all the way in three contests spanning the past eight
years.
Currently Pacquiao stands at 2-0-1 against the 39-year-old
from Mexico City, but each of the decisions has been open to
debate.
The first clash in 2004 was scored a draw after Marquez
rallied late in the fight after being floored three times in the
opening round.
Then in 2008, Pacquiao won a tight split decision in a
fight many thought Marquez should have won. Last year they met
again and once more the decision awarded had huge question marks
next to it.
