British Welterweight title challenger Frankie Gavin weighed in
at 10st 6lbs and champion Junior Witter weighed in at 10st 6 1/2lbs
at the official weigh-in today.
Gavin and Witter clash tomorrow night (Thursday 1st November) at
the York Hall, Bethnal Green.
Unbeaten Birmingham ace Gavin is confident heading into the
biggest fight of his career against the former WBC
light-welterweight champion.
"I came in a pound under the weight and I feel
fantastic," said Gavin.
"I'm shocked how old and small Witter looked when we squared up
for the head-to-head.
"It's now just a case of relaxing and focusing on the fight
tomorrow night and producing the goods.
"I've never been so confident going into a fight and it's the
biggest one of my career."
Bradford switch-hitter Witter says he'll retain his British title
against the young star.
"I'm really happy with the weight, I'm fit and ready to take Gavin
out," said Witter.
"This fight is all about me and what I do in the fight, not Gavin,
that title is staying with me.
"I'll decide what round I take him out in and he'll never have
felt the power that I'm going to be hitting him with."
