Bolton's Amir Khan is hoping that the Emerald Isle shows its
full support for John Joe Nevin as he embarks on a career in the
pro game.
Nevin, who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games this summer,
has signed a professional contract with Khan's new Super Fight
Promotions outfit.
"He will make his debut in the MEN in Manchester on January 19,
but he will stay and train in Ireland and we will fight over
here too," Khan told IrishBoxing.com
"I know the Irish media and fans will get behind him. He
can become a superstar and hopefully he will become world
champion one day."
