Lenny Daws is looking to shine at Glow, Bluewater in Kent
on Saturday, 13 October when he takes on Finnish boxer Ville
Piispanen for the vacant European Union light-welterweight
title.
The 12 round fight which is promoted by Hennessy Sports is on
the undercard of James DeGale's European super-middleweight title
defence.
The former two time British champion said: "Piispanen can't be a
bad fighter, he's already held the EU title along with being the
number one fighter in Finland, so I expect him to be-coming over to
the UK looking for the win."
"He will bring everything he's got." added Lenny "We've been
studying him on YouTube and looking at his record he's certainly
not going to be a push over.
"But as the fight goes on, the crowd will get louder and louder,
and he's not going to like it as my fans are some of the loudest in
the world, he will never have experienced anything like it." added
Daws
The Morden man added: "You will see the best Lenny Daws yet,
this is my time now. I'm going to show everyone what I can do, and
by winning the EU title it is a step in the right direction and
once I have achieved this I will sit down with my team and plan my
next move."
