Former British super-middleweight champion Paul Smith has set
his sights on regaining the crown.
"Smigga" returns to action on November 9 in his home city of
Liverpool and he's hoping that a stellar display will put him in
contention for a showdown with newly crowned domestic ruler Kenny
Anderson.
"I'm gunning for Anderson now he's got hold of the Lonsdale
belt," Smith, 31 - 3 (17 KOs), said.
"I just need to get back in there on November 9th and show what
I'm capable of doing after such a long time out of the ring, then
when that's done, the Anderson showdown is the fight I want.
"Training has been going really well and I know that come
9th November I'm not going to leave anything to
chance when it comes to setting up a shot at the British
title."
Smith's return to action will come on the undercard of Paul
Butler's clash with fellow Scouser John Donnelly for the vacant
British super-flyweight title.
