Former British light-welterweight champion Ashley Theophane will
fight in the UK once again next month when he appears on the
undercard of Ricky Hatton's ring return on November 24 in
Manchester.
Theophane's 39th pro fight will be his first on home shores
since his shock loss to Darren Hamilton in May, as his last victory
against Ronnie Warrior Jr. took place in Charlotte, North Carolina
in the United States.
'Treasure' will be seeking his 33rd win on what promises to be a
stellar night in the British boxing calendar in 2012 and Theophane
is pleased to have secured a contest on the bill against an
opponent yet to be named.
"I'm delighted to be on the biggest show in the UK this year,"
Theophane told World Boxing News.
"Some of Britain's best fighters will be showcasing their talent
as Ricky Hatton, Rendall Monroe, Martin Murray, Gary Buckland,
Sergey Rabchenko and Scott Quigg are all part of this event.
"For me to be on it ends my year off on a high note to build on
for 2013 and the fans are definitely in for a treat."
