Amir Khan's hopes of fighting IBF welterweight champion Devon
Alexander have been dashed as the American has agreed to defend
against Shawn Porter on November 30 instead.
Khan has been linked to a May meeting with pound-for-pound great
Floyd Mayweather Jnr, but had stated that he still hoped to square
off with Alexander in December.
Alexander versus Porter will take place in San Antonio, Texas on
a bill which also features Leo Santa Cruz's WBC super-bantamweight
title defence against Cesar Seda.
Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, told Espn.com
that he is working on arranging an alternative fight for Khan, but
