Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell was made to go the distance for the first time in his professional career against late notice opponent Chuck Jones.

The Hull lightweight rocked Jones with a left to the temple in the opening round, but wasn't given many openings in the following frames despite being thoroughly on top.

Jones, from Ferndale in South Wales, managed to connect with the odd counter shot, but never looked like winning a round and seemed content to been able to take Campbell to the final bell.

Afterwards, promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Campbell will be boxing for his first title early in 2014.

In the preceding contest, Liverpool's Stephen Smith won the vacant WBC International Silver title at super-featherweight crown with an eighth round stoppage of Argentina's Sergio Medina.

The Scouser, who gave up the British crown recently, detonated a wicked left hand to the ribs which left Medina writhing around on the canvas in pain.
