Mayweather release request denied

Floyd Mayweather Jnr has had a request for early release from prison denied by a judge in Las Vegas.

The pound for pound great asked to be allowed out early because he felt the food and water being served to him was a threat to his health.

However, Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa said that the boxer is being provided water around the clock and the only reason he isn't eating properly is because he refuses to consume the meals provided.

She added that the Mayweather's claims that he does not have enough space to train are also unfounded.

"While the physical training areas and times provided to Mayweather may not be consistent with his prior regimen, he is indeed provided sufficient space and time for physical activity if he so chooses," Saragosa said.
