Blain Younis

A Master Trainer since the Hatton Academy began, Blain has been involved in boxing for almost 20 years.

With 49 fights as an amateur - representing England along the way - and three pro fights under his belt, Blain turned his attention to coaching in 2011 when an injury cut short his boxing career. Now a qualified England Boxing Coach (formerly the Amateur Boxing Association) and British Boxing Board of Control-recognised Professional Trainer, Blain is also a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, KBT Level 2 Strength & Conditioning and Combat Sports Coach and Precision Nutrition Coach.

Blain trains his own stable of professional fighters and works as part of Team Hatton as an assistant coach to Ricky. In this role, Blain was heavily involved in the training camp that produced Team Hatton’s first World Champion Zhanat Zhakiyanov in February 2017.

Blain is a huge advocate of ‘boxing for fitness’ and works as part of Hatton Academy’s team of Master Trainers to support and educate fitness professionals and enthusiasts alike on the benefits of boxing and how best to get the most out of boxing sessions.
