Former two-weight world champion Joel Casamayor has had his
licence suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after he
failed a drug test.
The 40-year-old Cuban, who was an Olympic gold medallist at the
1992 Barcelona games, is said to have tested positive for marijuana
after his eight round KO loss to Timothy Bradley in November.
He has been handed a fine of $10,000 and told that he is unable
to reapply for his licence for a year.
At his current age and with him losing three of his last five
fights, this decision is one which could realistically end his
career.
